Love Reigns dominates Keeneland MdSpWt debut by nearly 10 lengths

Stonestreet Stables LLC’s filly Love Reigns outdid a field of 2-year-old fillies in a 5 ½-furlong
Keeneland maiden special weight race by 9 ¾-length on April 29, closing day of the Keeneland
2022 Spring Meet.
The blowout victory earned the daughter of U S Navy Flag a coveted “TDN Rising Star” tag.
Love Reigns was away a beat slow from her inside post, but quickly recovered and shot to the
lead under Irad Ortiz, Jr. Though she was in hand the entire way around the turn, she opened
up a half-dozen length lead coming into the stretch. Nudged just a big by Ortiz in midstretch,
she immediately increased her margin to be the easiest of winners.
Love Reigns, who earned $27,156 in victory, was purchased by Ben McElroy for 160,000 Euros
on behalf of Stonestreet at Goffs Orby Sale.
Out of Humble And Proud (IRE), Love Reigns is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Glorious Empire
IRE).
